Jb65rams
Just pulled this from the stash. Success rate has been a bit hit & miss in past blitzbuilds. Plan to build it in two 12hr session starting Saturday, finishing Sunday whilst following the; One Day Cricket final at Lords (Go Hampshire) The Giro The Monaco GP Indy 500 Super League Magic Weekend (Go Rhinos) Decision taken to complete as the Belgian option as it only has three main colours (Dark Green and Dark Brown over Aluminium) as opposed to the RAF option that uses 5.
Jb65rams
Made a start at 9:40 this morning. Got some paint on the cockpit and main wing assembled. When my Flickr account deems to let me upload photos I will post them.

Jb65rams
@Valkyrie With Portsmouth having been eliminated form the promotion playoffs, I'm not doing football this weekend. With Hampshire 4 wickets down not looking a good weekend sporting wise so far, but early days. Partial success with Flickr. Still a little hit & miss with uploads timing out. Breakfast Sprue Shots Paint applied to the cockpit.

Jinxman
Good start - same here with Flickr - it wouldn't play ball earlier. That dirty burger looks pretty good from where I am as well - lunch soon I hope.
dogsbody
I'm in the process of building the same kit, in basically the same camo, but mine will be an RCAF machine. Mine is definitely NOT a Blitz build. I started mine in January last year and so far I've got to here: Chris
Jb65rams
@dogsbody Looking good. Great use of lego, mine got given away years ago. Took a pitstop for lunch and to watch the GP qualifying. Made a start on the pilot. The plan is to display the aircraft in flight.
Jb65rams
Still plugging on. The pilot has taken his position in the cockpit. You might have noticed the clock missing, battery died on the phone! I have masked the cockpit, using an aftermarket set. The model has received a coat of Halford's Grey Plastic Primer followed by Vallejo Model Air Aluminium or the underside. Aim to get the Brown on the top side later tonight by 9:39pm Hamsphire have just lost!!!

Jb65rams
@Hockeyboy76 @Valkyrie Thanks. My masking skills are slowly improving, definitely rewards a patient approach. Decals applied just before the GP started. The Belgian roundels are nice & colorful. Next update should be the last, hopefully.
Jb65rams
I'm calling this one done. Really had some fun building this. Will take some better photos for the gallery tomorrow morning. Just notice from the photos that the pitot tube has taken a bash, will fix it now before heading off to watch the more cars driving around in circles, this time at the Indy 500.
