Marklo
The kittens and the PB31 are well on track for a late Jan early Feb finish, March still seems a long way off so I was going to throw in one last build, but I just wanted to check if everybody agreed it’s an interceptor. A little bit more oddness. Namely the RAF Ariel target. Ostensibly designed as a target drone, ( this was the official story to subvert German intelligence) but actually intended to be catapult launched and then flown remotely into Zeppelins then detonated. Which makes it the first remote guided missile. Opinions, if it passes out I’ll probably start cutting plastic at the weekend. I think we can all agree that this first guided missile is eligible
SoftScience
I have a nice Hasegawa Ki-44 Tojo. I know these aircraft were used in the home defense roll. The boxing I have is from Sentai based in China. I can't find any info on whether these were used for interception or in a more open fighter role.

The Ki-44 was designed from the outset to be an interceptor, so definitely a good choice. AW

For the purposes of this GB a Ki-44 is eligible in either pure interceptor or fighter role. Had I been smarter it would have been titled the Air Defence GB but at the time Interceptor sounded more exciting.
Col.
Public Service Announcement We are now into the final month for our GB gang. 28 days and counting! I've been meaning to do a count up of project numbers, gallery submissions, most popular types, etc. This GB has, however, been so busy it's hard to keep track. Which is a good thing Keep up the great work
TimJ
Now that the Heller GB has finished I'll see if I can get something built for this one before I head off to the Africa GB.

klr
I was very late starting in this GB, due to the Heller GB, COVID-19, the Christmas break, and anything else you want to mention. My first entry (Kyushu J7W1) is nearly done, and I've started the Revell F-89 Scorpion. I had originally planned to also build the Hasegawa F-106, but that kit (and the F-106 in general) has already been well covered. So, what else could take its place? Nothing too ambitious, as I would need to have it and the F-89 finished in two weeks. I could build an F-104A, but with four USA jet STGBs in the next 12 months (A-4, F-4, F-14, F/A-18), and possibly the F-5 in 2022, maybe I should try for some diversity. Having searched this GB, I see no mention of the Boulton Paul Defiant ...

Naturally, it would be the "new" Airfix kit I'd be building, although I have the old kit in the stash as well. Another option was the Revell Fw 190 A-8/R11 Wilde Sau, but I think there are already enough Fw 190s of various types in the GB, if not this version. Anyway, I've already taken the Defiant out of storage, which means putting something else in its place to keep everything neat and tidy. 2

This is great news! :) As I already had minor problems on surface of my Sabre Dog after gloss varnish, because of day-after-day painting of layers of paint, I was a bit worried about deadline and finishing it. Now I can more smoothly do the rest of jobs on it, and some of them require a few more days of drying time (wash and final varnish layer are due to be done, but latest gloss layer is still curing I think - I want to be sure it is thorougly dry). So, thanks for extra time to @Col.. and @Enzo Matrix! Cheers and all the best! S.

bianfuxia
This is good news! I think I can easily finish my USS Long Beach this week but my F-104 needs a bit of surgery on the join between the front and the back fuselage halves (yes, front and back, not left/right or top/bottom). With an extra bit of time maybe I can knock that off too.
