+15C is too cold for me!

Two weeks ago I see from my home window on the street gentleman in shorts and a T-shirt sipping beer and eating ice cream, the temperature was outside +8~+10C 😲....when I was little I ate ice cream when the street was frost -5 ~ -10C, it’s uncomfortable ... my lips can freeze to the ice cream, 😁😁so I was not surprised this gentleman with ice cream .... but drink it with beer ?????😲😲

ice cream with hot chips!!!!

Ice cream with hot dogs? Or with BBQ?

😁😁😁

B.w. I do not claim authorship of this cocktail, but a mix of vodka or cognac  + juice

mango or pineapple or orange + ice cream was very popular with us in my student days.

But important, ice-cream need milk, (milk butter cream) ...hardly translate...I don't know West analogue this type ice-cream.

Next chance get a ticket to Siberia!  This ejection seat is not from a kit it is a white metal ejection seat from Maintrack with a photoetched.

Now you know what ejection seat is installed in my interceptor!

Most likely there will be no more tips!  Well, does anyone finally guess the interceptor?

Hmm, that looks like a Martin-Baker Mk.2 or 3, so something like a Swift perhaps?

No, MB.Mk.2 or 3 was different, in addition, he didn’t do the Maintrack; they put MB Mk.4 in all their sets!

Also MB.Mk.2 install* in my Swift:

but this MB. Mk.4 not install in my "No name" interceptor!

😉

So what do you know?

This is an interceptor, with a British engine, with a British ejection seat MB Mk.4, with side air intakes through which the engine is partially visible, with a strange control knob.

Not enough data to analyze?

_____________

* - b.w. combination MB.Mk.2 from Quickboost & photoetched from Eduard very hard to install to cockpit Swift from Airfix! No separate all good! MB.Mk.2 from Quickboost good install in original cocpit from Airfix or original ejection seat MB.Mk.2 from Airfix improved with Eduard photoetched good install to original Airfix cockpit improved with Eduard photoetched, but when MB.Mk.2 from Quickboost  install to  cocpit from Airfix improved with  Eduard photoetched it's horror!

So a British engine and bang-seat installed but you don't say this is a British interceptor :hmmm:A product of India or Egypt perhaps?

I was thinking a Folland Midge

I was heading towards the HAL Ajeet but now thinking Helwan HA-300 due to it not being a British design and therefore can't be the Dh Vampire

leave to escort You to Siberia for snow removal?

😉😁😁

P.P.S.

In fact, part of the drawings of the HA-300 accidentally fell into the frame with my Swift F. Mk.7 using the link that I published in this topic above.

Yaaaaaaa!!!!! Col goes to Siberia on an all expense paid holiday!!!  :yahoo::rofl2:

@Aardvark Serge can you please make sure he's back home buy yh 18th of January as he's Co-host for the Scandi GB. Though if you like you can leave him there if you want to Co-host with me?? :D

Today the western part of Sydney was the hottest place on earth....49.5C (121F)!!! A couple of years ago I was working in NW Aust and at 11am it was 53C (127F), night time it dropped to a cool 38C (100F), we had that sort of temp for over a week!

  • 4 weeks later...

Count me in. It could be anything from the Airfix Sopwith Camel to the Trumpeter Shenyang "Finback-B". Actually, my kit of the Camel is that boxing from the late 1980s of Lt. Stuart Culley, who shot down a Zeppelin. So that is definitely interceptor material.

Your Camel certainly ticks the box required for this GB :D

Another fine choice of subject Tony :)

If, as an aside, if anyone is considering the various types used in the 'Top Gun' dissimilar air combat training role such as the A-4 then they are good for this GB as well ;)

Would a Sea Vixen be an interceptor or strike aircraft ? Ive always thought Interceptor but now I'm not sure ? Thinking of building mine for the build, but can switch to something Prop driven if need be.

Dennis

The Sea Vicky when suitably tooled up for air combat work is a fine option Dennis :D

If applications are still open you can count me in. I have an 1/48 F-89C and an F-86D I've needed a good reason to wrassle from the stash.

Excellent! Another two fine options there :) You going W.W.E.M.D. (What Would Enzo Matrix Do) and building them both?

Yes I hope so if time permits.Actually Col. I had a 3rd one though it didn't get past the mock-up stage an XF-103 Thunderwarrior A Collect aire I've been staring at on the shelf for ages looking for a good excuse to bring to the light of day. Idle hands as they say.

That's another fine option you have with the XF-103 as paper projects are also eligible within this GB.
