Savenosouls
Any of you markings gurus - can you tell me what type of swastika an ME262 should have on the tail - all black? black with white, black on a white circle? I am doing a Heller ME262 Nightfighter along with it's modern Airfix equivalent, and I have no idea? (and a large Xtradecal sheet of swastikas?) Thanks in advance (I appreciate that the markings are banned in some European Counties!)
72modeler
I think all the b-1a/u1's in photos that I recall had either a black stencil style or a solid style. The one captured by the USAAF, marked FE-610, had a solid style outlined in white, but IIRC this was applied after capture along with other spurious markings. The two seat trainers might have had the outlined solid style, but I think I am correct that you just wanted to know about the nightfighter versions. Jackson Duvalier
Haven't checked the references lately, but if I remember correctly, each of the arms bends to the right.
