Cosford I think and another local West Midlands one. 6 hours ago, Tony Whittingham said: I did a build of G-AFKX. I can send you some info if you wish. TW. Thanks. CedB
Great start on the engine Jont - it's going to be pretty special! £9 a HALF for beer? Crikey, that's almost London prices… 2

Will you do one for the repaint? Hi Spadgent I have an atrocious track record with WIPs (started plenty, but not kept any of them up to date) and GBs. Some of it is probably due to my previous 'extremely variable' work patterns, but I have to take the brunt of the criticism as I do have a tendency to get carried away with a build and forget to document it! I shall attempt to make amends with a good WIP for the Hurricane re-paint. Time to get the photo studio set up ready for a click-fest... They came through 3 times escorted by spitfire prXlX and a pair of 617sqn tornado. It was a sight to behold!

Grey Beema
I'm a Fencer too (or rather was). Like all of us started on Foil but then fenced Sabre at Junior and under 21 level. Got fed up with crap judging (Sabre was only steam at the time) and virtually left the sport. Went back in my mid 20s and fought Epee thoroughly enjoyed it. Prof. BoB Anderson was my coach - which makes me a Syth Dark Lord..... Was at Ireland v France in Paris a good few years ago (Brian O'Driscols last international) - a bar in Paris wanted to charge me €18 for a pint of Heineken. I nearly suffered a pre-match injury from laughing so hard.... 😂🍺😡 Edited May 24, 2019 by Grey Beema Predictive text 😡

The Spadgent
Hey. Super small update. I’m currently on my holibobs over half term. Arrived in sunny/rainy/sunny Cornwall on Saturday. It’s sunny now and I’m chilling in a camp chair in the sun contemplating a light beer. 👌💪. Other contemplations are the colour of my cockpit and engine area upon my return. Here’s a pic of where I’m headed. I’m sorry for the re use of a pic ( It’s from a thread shared on here so Thaks to whoever got it ) Mainly silver, green top half with a silver bulk head. Sounds like a plan. 👍 Primer is on. 🤗 some nice little details. (Rivets) dry fit of primed bits. I’m planing silver base plate, black pipe and silver tank. Sound right? Here’s a dry fit of the tidied up engine frame pre prime. Nice fit to be honest. silver frame with mostly all black engine. When I say black, you know what I mean. 😏 so here’s the main engine primed. State of play On Saturday morning before we left. thank you all for popping in, I know it’s not the most exciting of updates but it’s progress right. 🙌 I’ll endeavour to check in on all your wonderful builds while it rains. Take care friends and as always. Happy modelling. Johnny Campervan. 🚌

Searching afterwards apparently it’s the collection of the late Barry Wallond, he sounded like a wonderful chap. His collection is amazing. I think that’s a Canberra in the background. Such an odd place. Glad I stumbled across it though. 😀🙌😇 Thought you might all like to see. Johnny. ps. bigbadbadge
Hi Johnny, very nice choice of model. This is a lovely kit and I found it a very enjoyable build. I used the Mk I Spitfire prop and Spinner which was still present in the Airfix Spitfire Mk V kit for mine and was very pleased with the result, had to paint Squadron codes Y-BJ for it. The kit roundels broke up although it was the older boxing. Enjoy your build fella. All the best Chris 1

Rather upsetting. 😔 I think I might have to dedicate a build to him. 🤗 11 hours ago, bigbadbadge said: Hi Johnny, very nice choice of model.
