Hi!

Concerning the Hasegawa F11F-1 Tiger what can be done with the area behind the seat in the cockpit? It's rather empty under the canopy...

Cheers / André

Andre,

Off the top of my pointed little head, there's a 1/72 resin detail set by Obscureco for the F11F-1 that has detail parts for that area, but probably very hard to find now, and you could look at Naval Fighters Number 1 and 40 on the F11F by Steve Ginter for detail photos. @Tailspin Turtle  also did a very nice blogspot on the F11F and IIRC, it had some photos and reference to a very good walkaround that might be useful. Sure was a beautiful airplane that had a really short service career- if you don't count the Blue Angels! Hope this helps!

Mike

If the canopy is closed, there isn’t anything under it other than the canopy shear web (structure bridging between the side frames of the canopy) and on some airplanes, a flush antenna on the inside of the canopy itself. For details on the Obscureco detail set, see https://tailspintopics.blogspot.com/2016/03/obscureco-f11f-detail-set.html. I’m pretty sure ithat it’s still available directly from Obscureco (for $17 according to the website that I just looked at): http://www.obscureco.com/
