falcon
Latest Airfix 1/72 Phantom FGR.2 finally finished. Painted with Hataka Red Line acrylics and a mix of kit decals and Modeldecal for the 64Sqn/228OCU markings. Enjoy. falcon
Cheers guys. The scheme was less than a month old when XV428 crashed at RAF Abingdon during a display practice, unfortunately. As a bonus, here is a pic of all 5 of the Airfix Phantoms that I have built so far .

iainpeden
A good build. Just in case anybody is unaware the scheme was removed prior to the accident at Abingdon and she was in standard grey only. 1

Sky Keg
Gee thanks Chris. Now I HAVE to build both of the Airfix Phantoms that I have recently acquired. This FGR.2 along with it`s stablemates is very inspirational for me to speed up the my current project. I`ll be elated if the one I build is a fraction of the quality of your`s on display here. You should be proud of the results. Well done!!!!!!

draggie748
Falcon, According to the notes I have with the ModelDecal sheet for this scheme, there wasn't much stencilling on the aircraft, did your decal instructions have anything different? Cheers Phil Canberra, Australia
FortyEighter
A great model with an unusual paint scheme that was tragically only seen for a few months.
