bentwaters81tfw
OK we hit the majic number, so here we go again. As well as today's Noddy car, there was a dark grey Vanden Plas 1300 heading south on the A12.

AR918
Evening, Seeing as the sun reminded us of it's existence this Sunday past, it was a great excuse to get on the bike. Passed by Hannants London whilst visiting family and the owner of the shop had his beautiful and completely original Ford Sierra 2.3l V6 Ghia basking in the sun. Love the two-tone scheme, just when you thought they were all rust powder... On the way back home I took the ultra scenic route and saw this incredible Jaguar XJR-whatever, casually parked up on a high street in Harpenden. The owner said it never raced and was made up of factory spares. I felt quite sorry for the beautiful young lady that accompanied him, probably booked a chiropractor Monday morning. Because the weather was so good, I went right past home and did a small loop of Oxfordshire and caught this well worn Volvo Amazon was chilling out in a village next to Lower Heyford. I also passed a Ford Escort XR3i (with the block headlamps and rally lights), it was white and in excellent condition. It's a poor pic but shows some of the regeneration going on around the former RAF Upper Heyford airbase. Where the white van is in the middle, someone was drifting in a sports car, the 79th Tactical Fighter Squadron F-111's used to live in hangars with the open doors. Behind me is a brand new and rather luxury looking estate. AR

Alan R
On the way in this morning on the M4, a reasonably tidy original FIAT Panda. Going at a reasonable clip as well... Cheers, Alan.
dieselweasel
On the way up the A1 near Retford, thought i saw an old Ford something, when i got close it turned out to be a Mk1 Escort estate done out to look like an Escort Mexico it was white with all the Mexico blue decals, looked rather nice Cheers Jim
NeoGothicToaster
Not spotted today (only just found this thread and only signed up a short while ago)... cherry268
I went to wedding at Basingstoke on Sunday and there was a transport festival there. My cousin reckons it's a fantastic show. Only passed vehicles on the road but saw an A35, Triumph Stag, Volvo Amazon?, Volkswagen Beetle and van, Old Rolls Royce, Old buses, Big Army vehicles, Mustang, Corvette, Morris Minor, Minis and loads of others Looked a good day Also on the way I passed innumerable Jaguars going to Blenheim Palace to a Jaguar car club meeting. Mk 1s, Mk 2s, Mk 5, XJS's, XJ6s, S Types, XK8s must have loads there. But missed a Porsche club gathering at Broughton Castle , chap at work has one and said there was about 130 on a run from Moreton-in -Marsh Edited May 15, 2019 by cherry268 Forgot second part

bentwaters81tfw
on Monday I spotted a silver Peugeot 405 estate on the A14. Another numerous type that has all but vanished.

I remember a magazine article. This afternoon i drove home from work through Scampton village, I'm glad I did. Parked by the Dambusters pub, half a dozen TR6's at least two TR4's and just up the road, a red E type FHC from about 1968.

AR Was overtaken tonight on the A40 by a Sierra estate - nowhere as nice condition as this one, but interestingly had a Cosworth style bonnet. Was driving, so couldn't get a photo. Also spotted (on Monday) a TR7 convertible (not a TR8, as the badge on the back was very definitely TR7), again, I was driving, so couldn't get a photo. dieselweasel
Pete I was coming down the M6 this afternoon and saw 5 or 6 TR6 heading towards Lancaster, perhaps these were the same ones you saw, all in very good nick Cheers Jim
Pete in Lincs
In Grantham yesterday as I was leaving on the A607, a green Jaguar waiting to come out of a side street. Six digit reg number so an old one. I thought Lister replica? but I can't find a picture to confirm it. It had an exhaust silencer mounted on the LH side with twin pipes, if that rings a bell with anyone? Today in a small village South of Lincoln, the back end of a red Marcos peeping out from under a car cover. I haven't seen a Marcos in ages! And, in Lincoln, an H reg Lotus Europa in amongst the commuter traffic.
Mr T
Coming down A1 yesterday around Durham a Bedford CA Dormobile in two tone green with a fair bit of chrome heading north. We also overtook an 80's Audi 80 in yellow, one the two door versions with a 'short' roof that never seemed to be that common.
Alan R
Yesterday, I was passing through Castle Coombe. There is a Steam Rally at Castle Coombe circuit, shortly after passing though there I came across three traction engines driving there under their own steam (literally), another one on the back of a low-loader. An old (MF?) tractor towing a trailer with another old tractor on it. A '60s MF tractor. A 40's era Bedford droop-side lorry, and an orange 'hockey stick' Capri. Not a bad haul for a Friday afternoon on the way home. Cheers, Alan.
NeoGothicToaster
Tube station car park today - One of the new Aston Martin Vantages. Although they look quite small in the photos I've seen of them, they're not that small. Love the look, especially the little kick up spoiler at the back
JeroenS
While hiking today, this pretty beast Also, a beautifully restored VW T1, a Volvo 244 Polar Estate (I love those) and a Citroen BX Break. Where did these things go? To the wrecker, probably... Anyway, my father was a Citroen lover so we went through 3 BX's, one being a Break.

Left hand drive, automatic (column shift?), probably horribly expensive to insure and run (probably road tax exempt though) and not the sort of thing to go shopping in Tesco’s. I’ll pass. Pete in Lincs
It could have been the BM staff car. Mike can pay the bills and the modeller with the most likes gets it for a week! Column shift slushbox is dead easy BTW, select D and drive it with your right foot. (To the floor!) 1
