Alpha Delta 210
Evening all I spent an enjoyable, but chilly day at the Old Warden Season Premiere yesterday. Many people (including me!) wore woolly hats, but a few die-hards wore shorts! I never thought that I would see aircraft as large as the C-47 or PBY/Canso/Catalina land on the grass strip at Old Warden! Here are a few of my favourites, with the emphasis on visiting aircraft. Thanks for looking. I can post some images of the static displays, including a genuine British Commanders'-in-Chief Mission (BRIXMIS) to the Soviet Forces in Germany (GSFG) Mercedes G-Wagen if anyone is interested.
Latinbear
All very nice! Seeing the two Hurricanes in adjoining shots I definitely prefer brown and green rather than grey and green. A bit of a treat to see both the Catalina and the C47 taking off from the grass. Thanks for sharing these.

Thanks for sharing these. Thanks, Latinbear. I like the Hurricane, full-stop, so I don't have a preference for camouflage schemes! It was awesome to see such large machines operating from Old Warden, but the highlight for me was the Huey! (The sound is almost as evocative as a Merlin!)
bentwaters81tfw
C-47s are well known short field aircraft, but that PBY was something else.
Parabat
Wow, quite some stunning pictures on display. Very nice selection of aircraft to have seen and fantastic record taken by yourself again. Top notch.
