AMT 1953 Ford F100 Pickup

Recommended Posts

I first built this one in 1964 as the custom version on the original issue box top - I was 14 at the time and hadn't yet acquired a taste for showroom stock models.

I built it again about 8 years ago from a 90s re-issue, pretty much box stock except for American Satco tyres, a home-made mirror and tailgate chains and posable steering.

As I have often done, I built it curbside - partly out of laziness, partly because I would rather have a bonnet that fits right than one that opens.

Absolutely superb, as were the previous two you posted.

I have to say that I much prefer the way you've built it to the picture on the box.
