Redcoat2966
Hi Rob.....as regards this question of spraying and consistency......on most of mine, it can take up to 20 coats of very, very thin layers of any one colour. There's little to no chance of running or bleeding under masking tape etc. I use a mix of 50/50 (+retarder) of any type of colour brand. At present I'm working my way through Vallejo Model Color set. I do like AK's ready mix set's for airbrushing......but do intend to switch over to AK Real Colors as a single paint system one day...... As regards the Matilda.....nice looking job so far.....the paint issues can be fixed, no probs......keep ploughing on...

robw_uk
Overspray cleaned up, sadly quite pleased with it now, and glossed up (now have a nice new needle, guide thing and front bits for the HS and a clean old airbrush which seems to still spray). Also started to do the exhaust. Had done a rough spray of portland stone then dry brushed dark grey then a burnt rust wash & splatter. Will do mid & light rust tomorrow I hoipe IMG_20200424_170700 by Robert Worth, on Flickr IMG_20200424_170654 by Robert Worth, on Flickr IMG_20200424_170651 by Robert Worth, on Flickr IMG_20200424_170640 by Robert Worth, on Flickr IMG_20200424_170737 by Robert Worth, on Flickr

Nenad Ilijic
You cleaned the paintwork really nice. This kind of overspray usually happens when the surface is not smooth enough so masking tape can not adhere well to the surface, at least to me. And what I noticed is that this is happening in one of the following situations: when I am spraying from too far, when the paint is too thick, when it is too hot in the room or when airbrush is not cleaned well or is damaged (H&S is especially sensitive even to the slightest damage, at least in my case). What works for me in most cases is spraying highly thinned paint from very close distance, flowing very little paint through the airbrush (just enough to wet the surface). Great job with the exhaust! Cheers, Nenad

robw_uk
Decal disaster (the "4" on the other side disintegrated a touch... will need touching up and then weathering (or finding a tarp to cover it.... Redcoat2966
I wouldn't worry mate....that's where scratch's go...., most of my locations for chipping and scratch's have the same origins....can't be more random than that....
diablo rsv
I've got spares if you want them Rob. I did a different scheme. I can't say I was too impressed with the decals in that kit.
