Farman Moustique, scratchbuild 1/72

Recommended Posts

Farman Moustique (mosquito) Winner of the Tour de France, 1924.

The diminutive motoaviette Farman Moustique is simple in nature and quite straightforward, nevertheless requires care and attention to detail. The flying surfaces are ribbed and had rib tapes, making them suitable to develop those techniques. The fuselage is mainly a box, but has some additional volumes on the rounded front, curved belly and behind the pilot, and some details like the cabane struts and pilot office. Having wing rigging and control cables and horns exposed, more detailing can be practiced.
