Looking forward to this one. I hope Eduard add few extra fuels tanks for the wings, it always seems a little bare without them.

Ohhh man !!! Now i need one of these. 🤨... Interesting Misprint in the artwork though. The VFA-31 Tomcatters markings option shows a VFA-105 gunslingers semicircle artwork on it.

I think the title of this thread needs to be changed - the plastic in the box will be the Hasegawa kit, not the Revell one (at least, according to the latest issue of 'Eduard Info').....

Good news isn't it, as the E boxing has been has been quite hard to track down [at a semi-decent price of late], from the places I usually buy from, in contrast to the F.  I would suspect, given Eduard's recent re-boxings, that it will be standard Hasegawa plastic with some brassin wheels, exhausts and a fret or two of p/e, and masks, to go along with the multi-option decals?

I need a Hornet in my stash and like the Eduard Limited Editions.

Hopefully its not too expensive. Hannants are showing it as £83 list price!!!!!!?!?!?

Shame this kit has the original release upper fuselage with the old style ECS exhaust pipes when all the decal options have the newer type bard stacks and even show the correct style on the illustrations. Bit of an oversight by Eduard. 

 

I will say though, Quickboost aftermarket stacks look a lot more accurate in shape than the correct Hasegawa upper fuselage ones so I suppose all is not lost. 😉

Indeed! With my pair of Superbugs on their way from Eduard with a box of other 'goodies' I'm glad I took delivery of three of the above sets from the Big H. One each for the 'E's' and another for my Foxtrot. Oh, along with two of Aires complete sets for the E's.

And I've followed the suggestion to the letter, with my recent order including one full Superbug and one set of overtrees plus PE. Though my intention is to build the second version using a set of Fightertown VX-9 'Vampires' decals I already have.

Hasegawa Overtrees... that means too many kits ordered? Maybe just some available though...

Buying the plastic, PE, mask, resin and a set of decals comes in quite a bit cheaper than buying the full kit. Makes the price of the full kit appear interesting and going the individual parts route a better option, or are my calculations wrong?

I guess it depends on the schemes you are interested in. I've not see any other single set that covers all of the markings included but there are a few that cover at least two. I do think the kit is a bit pricey though, even with a 25% discount and will certainly think carefully about their Ltd Eds in future, especially those based on Hasegawa molds which seem to command some of the highest prices.
