John_W
Many many years ago, one of the first models I build was an Airfix Jet Provost in the old bubble pack. It had a tailwheel, as I was still unfamiliar with nose weight, and it was moulded in silver plastic, so my brother only had to paint on the yellow trainer stripes for me. So, in the hopes of actually finishing a group build, here is the new mould of the Jet Provost. Lovely crisp grey plastic. Any colour you like, as long as it's black. Literally falling together, lovely little kit. And done for tonight, not a bad few hours work.
Col.
You're off to a fine start there John. Any further progress to report at the moment?
John_W
Hope to crack on next week. Had to submit a revised research proposal for my dissertation and take a few trips to the doctor with my knee. Real life does get in the way a bit...

Rob G
Go man, go! If you had the all-red version, it'd speed the process up... Can you pop to a hobby shop and pick that kit up? Tell the Missus that I said it's an emergency, so it's OK.
John_W
Going for the grey and dayglo. I like the red/white/grey scheme, but too much masking.
John_W
Gloss on, going to let that harden and do decals later. Edited June 7, 2019 by John_W Spelling.

John_W
AAAARGGGH!!!! Horrible brittle decals. Either I will need to mask and paint, or, strip the decals I have done, use the grey as a base and go for the red/white grey scheme. Either way, not going to make the deadline on this one I think...

nimrod54
Bad luck with the decals John, but the build is looking good. I hope that you manage to make it over the line but it shouldn't be too far off if not.

Rob G
Inspirational. I'd dig one of mine out of the stash and make it, but I'm trying to make a dent in the contents of the shelf of Doom. And succeeding, somewhat.
