I've always wanted to do one dressed as a Sandy from Vietnam and loaded for bear, as if the teething troubles didn't happen and it replaced the Skyraider.  I think it would look super

This what-if would be cool.

How about this one? Make an A-1E canopy version. Bernard Fisher MOH Skyshark.

Hi all,

First of all, I want to say that's truly amazing what the brave Ukrainian people has done to resist the Russian invasion and how Ukrainian kit makers, Clearprop among them, have continued to work and release excellent models for us to enjoy despite everything.

I am buying Ukrainian models to support their plight, just two days ago an 1/144 XB-70 has departed Ukraine inbound Portugal.

I'm interested in the Clearprop 1/48 kit of the A2D-1, CP4801; CP4802 XA2D-1 was released more than 2 years ago and meanwhile CP has released another kits in several scales. Why wasn't CP4801 released is anybody's guess, I just want to know if it is still planned for release or not, so I asked CP via Messenger.

My question was seen and not answered, to this moment. It's not a big deal, I know, I just wanted to share this information and try to get from fellow BritModellers an answer before deciding to buy the XAD2-1 kit, I'm sorry if this bothers some of you.

Slava Ukraini!

I am on the same boat. I have been holding off getting the currently available XA2D-1 kit because I prefer the proper version intended for service, rather than the prototype. But it seems like CP4801 is quite cold in the water.

I'm here too also waiting for 4801 to appear. I may cave at some point but I live in hope.

Asked Clear Prop a few weeks ago about the  1/48 production version and got a reply this afternoon that they are planning to release it at the end of February.

Hi all,

I ordered the A2D kit on ClearProp's website on Thursday, had the invoice the same day, made payment by PayPal early Friday and it was sent right away, very nice service!

I will order some Eduard HVAR rockets for a realistic loadout according to "Naval Fighters" #43.

I almost want to do one of these as a USAF Spad CSAR in Vietnam. I think it would look good in SEA camouflage.
