Luftwaffe Twins - Me410B-1 and TA154V-3

Recommended Posts

Morning from Canberra on ANZAC Day

Here are a couple of Luftwaffe twins that lived on the shelf of doom for years. I think I started both when I still lived in Sydney, so we're looking at close to twenty years ago! Had no end of trouble with silvering on the Ta154. So much so I'm going to have another crack at the wing crosses some time.

Cheers,

Matt

The Me 410 is the Fine Molds kit, which despite a few fit issues, comes up well. This one is from 14./KG2 in France in 1944

And the Ta154 is Hasegawa's kit, using the Owl photoetch FuG 202 aerials

Niiiice!

Like you, I have some kits (like dozens) that have been sitting on the shelf of doom for years, a most between 10 and 15 years but some have been there over 20. I'm now making a concerted effort to get them all finished before I embark on any major new projects.

One of my S.O.D. (Shelf of Doom) projects is also a Hasegwa Ta 154.

Nice result. Have to say the 410 has never done a ythi g for me emotionally but the 154 is  beautiful.

Also have the Hasegawa in the stash. How was the Owl kit?   Worth getting?

Thank you. The Owl reference for the FuG 202 is aftermarket resin and photo etch. No kit, but judging by the finesse of the photo etch, it would be a fine kit were they to make one.

Cheers, Matt

No, I didn't say did I! 1/72 the pair of them.

Cheers Matt
