Hi Don,

Beautiful C47!

Is it just me or does it look much bigger than 1/72?!

I really need to get hold of one of these Airfix C47/DC3s.

Cheers,

Ian

I was thinking the same as the others:  it looks bigger than 72nd scale.  Whatever the size, you did a splendid job on it Don!

Cheers,

Mark

Thank you all for all of the kind words. I truly appreciate them.

I really enjoy the comments concerning the scale. Rest assured it is 1/72. Right now it sits next to a 1/48 scale one I did for the 60th D-Day anniversary.

Thanks again.

Don

Very nice Don!!!!!  Invasion stripes are a must for any C-47 model.  The C-47 is a hidden gem for WWII era types overshadowed by B-17`s, P-51`s, P-47`s, Spitfires, Hurricane`s, Lancaster`s, IL-2`s, Me-109`s, & Fw-190`s.  Excellent results and subject matter from you Don.  👍

Very nice clean build. I wouldn't mind getting one of these kits myself, if it can look that good.
