Ju-188E, KG2, Steinbock (1/48 DML+Eduard brass)

Recommended Posts

Hi comrades!

Here one of my older projects. It's old but great DML kit with addition of Eduard brass. Because most of the available decals (OOB and AM) were for boring (IMHO) schemes - I choose more interesting scheme from attached photo (taken from Osprey book) - all markings were painted with help of Montex (insignia) and custom (individual codes) masks.

So:

Was it by masking the whole plane? I ask because I have one of these on the bench.

Thank You!

I watch your progress on Ju-188A

First I painted white and light grey for insignia and codes

Than whole aircraft black

Next

after this - RLM 76

And dark green spots

That's all

Thanks that is very useful. Gives me hope that I can do the scheme I want now..

I will be moving forward with it and the Me 262 quite a lot over Easter.

Hi comrades!

Many thanks for Your kind words!

I'm big fun of 88/188 and big fun for DML kits of 88/188. I have 88A and 188E completed.

4 of them 88-C,G,P,Mistel and ju-188A still on waiting to the bench - so, at least one will be built within the year (probably C).

Thanks again

Shimon

But would the canopy frames have been camouflaged in real life?

Thank You!
