pau10wen Posted April 17, 2019 Share Posted April 17, 2019 Finally finished a simple-ish diorama for this build, and forgot to post it 🙄 I decided to add the bonnet mounted lights as an afterthought, then realised that I’d thrown the kit ones out! managed to scratch build one from plastic and make do, lesson learned for the next build not to throw anything out 😂😂😂 thanks for looking, and for all of the encouragement and helpful comments throughout the build... 25 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

I haven’t seen many of the same kit knocking around anymore? the engine is an aftermarket kit bought separately, the front ‘boot’ is all scratch built bits and bobs. cutting the body about caused a lot of problems, which I then had to solve! Alan R Posted May 2, 2019 Share Posted May 2, 2019 Many years ago (probably about 30) someone drove a Ferrari 246 Dino into our quiet little cul-se-sac, even at tick-over it was loud! I believe that the engine in the Stratos was basically the same unit, without even the minimal silencing that the Dino had! Still, it was an awesome noise... Cheers, Alan. The most popular and affordable engines was the Fiat 2 litre twin cam.
