GordonD
We've lost another astronaut from the Apollo era: Owen Garriott died on 14 April. He was one of six scientists chosen as NASA Group 4 in 1965 and while he never flew in the Apollo programme proper he spent 56 days aboard Skylab on SL-3 (Expedition 2). He flew again on STS-9, the first Spacelab mission, which lasted ten days. Garriott's son Richard also flew in space, as a fare-paying passenger on Soyuz TMA-13, spending twelve days in orbit during ISS Expedition 18.
