[1/72 Short Scylla 75$ or 8300Yen including shipping charge]

[1/48 Short Scylla 190$ or 20000Yen including shipping charge]

I'm modelling fuselage basic shape.

Today, I shall make mainwing and subwing basic shape.

I guess the fuselage shape is difficult but other portion is easy to make than the HP42. One wondering point is shortage of pictures online.

As a Scylla conversion kit, Short Kent will be necessary. Because the sales of the Scylla will be worse than the HP42W. Like YS-11 and HS748, another conversion is necessary I guess. I can reuse mainwing and subwing CAD model!!

When ordering, please send me a private message!! I will be able to begin prototype fabrication within 2 weeks! Scylla sales will be worse than the HP42W's. So I will release the Kent as a conversion kit.

Wow, that 1/48 Handley-Page HP42 looks incredible! How big is that model?

About as big as a 1/72 B-52.

I have the 1/72 scale one, and that's big enough.

Keep an eye on the Review page, Julian is doing a review of it. Very impressive. Don't be apprehensive over these kits, they are excellent.

Has anyone ever bought any of these kits? I would like to hear first hand experience from a customer in terms of parts surface, decal quality (must say I am concerned they look more like stickers than decals), to which glues does material respond etc. End user impressions.

I have seen the 1/72 HP.42 and the overall quality of the printing was pretty good, better than  expected. Kit fuselage was split in a way not to produce a seem which you had to sand away.

I think the decals are vinyl stickers? maybe @bentwaters81tfw can chip in as it was his kit I got a look at.

I think this whole series is fascinating! Where will the hobby be in ten years! :) I wonder how easy it is to sand the plastic though - some of the parts seem to be ABS which I'm familiar with and the rest is some form of biodegradable plastic called PLA which I had to google. Amazing stuff though!

This is 1/72 Scylla test model I have finished today. As for building skill, I'm in terrible level. This is just my built example. Kent will be Scylla conversion. I will reuse mainwing, tailplane and fin data.

Did the review happen, and if not can you show pictures of your kit at all?

Would be nice to see what you get with these kits.
