I started this model very long ago, so it's time to finish it. Every model is familiar, it's old, but I'm always cute old models. I did not want to correct any manufacturer errors, but I did it directly from the box. I did not even change the decals, which are green instead of white. I like it. Here's the picture, enjoy it.

Hi Jovac, that looks good to my eye. It is quite refreshing to see a model done from the box, warts & all, but done really nicely as you've done, so credit to you. 👍

I built that one some time ago, didn't realise the lettering wasn't supposed to be green!

I actually like these models straight from the box, warts and all. Takes me back I guess.

BTW what is wrong with the kit....shape?

For me, the most obvious problem is the canopy: too large and bulbous.

The radiators are too deep, more like a Griffon engined XIV, than a Merlin engined IX sub-type like a Mk. XVI.

I'm not sure I agree about the canopy being too bulbous but we each have our own perception of these things.

A great looking model of my favourite mark of Spitfire. You've done a splendid job out of the box. Well done.
