DaveJL
Hello all, Here is my recently completed 1/49 ICM Mig-25PD in the markings of the 146th Fighter Aviation Regiment of the Ukrainian Air Force in 1995. This jet had the old Soviet red stars painted over and replaced with the Ukrainian insignia. Extras used included a Quickboost ejection seat, Eduard cockpit etch, a mixture of Montex and New Ware masks along with Begemot decals. I went for a moderately weathered jet, based on some pictures that I could find, using various washes and pigments. The build thread is here It's a big brute, so to give an idea of size, here it is beside a 1/48 Eduard Mig-21: Thanks for looking. Dave

Mattlow
Dave Good to see the big Mig finished. Looks excellent. I'll have to pop back to read the last bits of the WIP. What were your final thoughts on the kit? I'll be resuming mine now I have a new nose - sent all the way from Ukraine by the folks at ICM.. Matt Cheers. It's a good kit, just a little tricky in some areas, especially around the forward fuselage area. I'll definitely be building a few more, just needs a bit of care when building.
Brad-M
Dave, You still around to ask you some questions about your Mig-25? I am building the same kit, and I was wondering about how the R-40 missiles mounted onto the pylons. The missiles themselves have what looks like 4 attachment pegs on them, and the pylons have two raised areas per pylon. When you try to mate them together it doesn't make sense on how they get mounted. Did you remove the pegs and remove the raised areas on the pylons? Thanks for any advice and great build. Brad Hi Brad, Just checked the model and looks like I did remove all the raised parts on both pylons and missiles (I can't remember the build ) as the latter are sitting nice and snug against the pylons.
