I'm building me a small cabin on the Californian country side.

Using mixed material. Wooden walls and plastic card for the roof.

Lets add some colour to it.

It's looking terrible in the large pictures. It's in 1/72 scale, around 3 inches long.

Next parts of the model has been started. A tower but not from Eiffel.

I taped the horizontal bars to the drawing and glued the long beams to them. It seemed to be the easiest way to do it.

Time to stitch the tower together. The first two sides are glued together.

Followed by the next side. Now I have to add the cross members inside it. It will be tricky to measure them and glue them in place. I'm not looking forward doing that when the fourth side is in place.I need to mount them inside the tower from the outside.

I am a bit worried that the whole thing will twist because I use materials that is to thin.

Hi Bjorn,

Nice work.  Hopefully the 4th side will just strengthen what's already there without distorting it. But if it does twist, a few  extra braces should sort that out - worst case scenario, some metal rods CA'd down the inside corners.

Rearguards,
