Su-27KIB/Su-33IB "Fullanker" (T-10X Series) in 1/72 scale - Revell/Zvezda/Italeri "What-If Project" (WIP)

Recommended Posts

Just behind the cockpit area the third medium blue coat was applied and masked. After then the whole airframe as well as wheel bay doors, outer wings and fins  were painted to Flanker Blue (MM2131):

Next step is to remove all the masks and see if worth all these effort 🙂

Thanks John,

I like such camo and spend time to do even for a "what if project". My avatar is such a good example 🙂

I did same camo pattern for one of my test F-15C airplane:

Hi, nice camo Serkan ;) Hope to see all the Flankers soon ...

Thanks Neffan,

I have almost finished two "What-If" Flankers but none of real Flankers I  have already started 🙂

Hopefully I will start them soon as we have to stay at home due to Corona...

Fantastic modelling style Serkan, it seems like you’re always know what will be the next step in your builds. 👍 The camouflage looks outstanding, keep up the good work!

Thanks Nikolay. I will do same camouflage with shades of gray on real Su-35S soon...

Excellent as always, Serkan.

Thanks Pete. Although this is a What-If build I enjoy very much during this build.

That's very impressive!

Thanks.

The build is now very close to RFI.

After a long break here are some futher progress:

The decals were sealed with Future/Pledge and let it dry for a week. After then the panels were washed with aqua color:

The excessive paints were removed with a lightly moistened kitchen paper towel and then dull coat was applied to entire aircraft to seal the panel wash and get final camouflage finish.

Next step is to finish exhausts by adding TVNs...

The nose landing gear assembly was cloned from Trumpeter Su-34 kit:

The lights are  from Revell/Zvezda kit and the wheels and mud guard from Armored Wheels.

The pylons and little antennas and probes were painted as well.

Next is to put all parts together...
