fatalbert
Hi all, whilst looking through an old profile publications on the Hawker Typhoon,I cam across a profile of a target tug version,Now I have never seen any reference to this machine before. Its a car door type with no cannons with a serial number of SW500.Does anyone know of any photos of this machine, Thanks.......Neil
gingerbob
This has been discussed fairly recently, and the word from on high (Chris Thomas) was that NO evidence has been unearthed. bob Edited April 9, 2019 by gingerbob
Chris Thomas
Don't hold your breath Neil. I've been looking for a photo, or any other shred of evidence to support the existence of this machine, since Profile 81 was published 50+ years ago. If there was such a machine (which I doubt) it certainly was not SW500 which was a late production machine with a sliding hood. Having been through all the individual aircraft records and the unit records I found no suggestion or trace of a TT Typhoon. CT
