delticfan
I’m trying to do an airfield diorama but struggling to find ground equipment and vehicles. I found an Oxford diecast fire vehicle and a Houchin Generator plus some oxygen bottles but that’s about it. I really wanted a fuel bowser and other bits, does anyone have any thoughts or ideas. Thanks.
Wez
I thought Flightpath (DJ Parkins), did some ground equipment, Likewise Aircraft in Miniature. Nitrogen bottles are fairly commonly seen on the flight line, we had the 4 bottle type of trollies, We mostly used Land Rovers to move stuff about (mostly LWB ones). You'd also need fire bottles. I'd recommend getting as many pictures of the flight line of the type you want to model, no two flight lines are alike, for instance Houchins had different power ratings and you'd need to get one appropriate for your diorama. Whilst some of the GE was common, not all of it was. Edited April 7, 2019 by Wez
delticfan
Thanks for that my flight line will be Binbrook 1987 ish, I suppose a bowser is important with Lightnings! BW models did one but I’m having trouble tracking that down.
modelldoc
You can find some (extremly expensive and hard to build) on Aviation Megastore in Amsterdam. Here is a link to Website with an overview and a link to the AMS in Holland. https://henk.fox3000.com/milmod.htm All of them are former BW models but now in resin. All schemes are fictional and not all are true. modelldoc

That’s handy, I will be staying 5kms away from there on Wednesday. Thanks for the tip.
