Rickoshea52 Posted April 5, 2019 Share Posted April 5, 2019 I built this last year from the Hasegawa 74sqn version of the kit but I wanted a 23 Sqn/1435 Flt Phantom based at Stanley Airport in the Falkland Islands so used after market decals, resin seats, wheels, etched IP, intake blanks and Sidewinders from Eduard. I used a cheap photo frame with Wills concrete sheets to create the segmented concrete base and distressed them with a sharp tool to replicate the cracks. I painted it a shade of concrete with some weathering to post shade the joins, a wash to highlight the cracks and coloured paint pens from hobby craft for the taxi lines. 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
