Spitfire madman
Hi all Here is my Airfix 1:72 Avro Shackleton MR.2 ive finished it in the markings of WL737 of 220 SQD, Royal Air Force, based at RAF St Eval, 1953. using Model Alliance Decals, RAF Coastal Command, post war part 1 (MA-72210) The only extra detail I added was a PE instrument panel. tamiya paint use throughout apart from Halfords appliance white for the underside. This has been an enjoyable and frustrating build due to fit issues early on. thanks for looking Fit issues early on tested my patients to the limit I put it down walked away and went back to it a couple of weeks later and repaired my moment of madness And made good in the end Edited August 6, 2021 by Spitfire madman To upload pictures that were deleted by mistake 62

tonyot
You have done a wonderful job on that Shack mate,.......... especially after your `incident',....... the best Shackleton model that I have seen yet and I do love that early scheme! Cheers Tony
cngaero
What a great save. The finished result certainly doesn't show any signs of the "stress" fracture and I must agree with Tony about your choice of colour as it looks stunning in the early scheme.
Rabbit Leader
That's just drop dead gorgeous and I must admit does make me reconsider the white scheme for my future build. I don't envy masking all those props however! Cheers and very well saved (and modelled).. Dave

Roman Schilhart
Wow, that is an impressive model! Sorry to hear about your troubles at the beginning of the build. After all the patience and work you invested, you are now rewarded with an excellent Shackleton. Best greetings from Vienna, Roman

Graham T
Lovely build but how the hell did the fuselage break!?
TonyW
A very tidy looking model. The noise from the guns on the top turret must have seemed like the end of the world once the poor gunner hit the fire button!

Natter
Lovely model, perfect restrained weathering. Getting such nice photos of a chunky model must have been challenging too, great result all round.
speedy
I think Keith was going for the stressed skin look, but over did it and got stressed himself. I remember him telling me when he’d done and it’s come out to his usual outstanding standard. Steve.
