Another great looking build. I take it you were happy with the paints!

Nice to see a Flanker in an unusual scheme as well. Great work 👍

Thank you Alan

Yes very happy with the paints. Hataka are my go to paints, these days. I buy them direct, as I can then get single bottles too.

Beautiful Flanker Ian. Lovely finish and subtle weathering. May give Hataka another go - I tried some of their earlier paints which where difficult to use and this put me off.

Cheers

Cheers Malcolm.

Were these earlier Hataka paints, you tried, their Red Line acrylics?

Well done! Very great job... I like it... Congratulations!

A question: Hataka Orange Line is the Laquer line?

They were. I was able to use them but they were not easy to spray and I was not entirely convinced that the colours were correct. It put me off using them again.

Cheers

Hataka’s early formula Red Line were a problem. Something they recognised, and changed the formulation. At the time, they even offered free exchanges to those who had bought the early sets.

Give the newer ones a go. Thin them out to about 50:50, paint to Hataka acrylic thinner, and build the colour up with several light coats.

Thanks Ian. May give them another try when the need arises. Looks great on your Su-30.
