Hawker Siddeley Nimrod MR1 - RFI at last!

Recommended Posts

Wonderful work, I remember pre-ordering this one from Airfix, it took ages to arrive (it was in the shops for weeks before I got mine!) and I've still not made it 😤

Thanks Ian and AW :)

F-32 you should build yours OOB IMHO - correcting the errors is horrid! :)

PS. When you pick me up in Birmingham, bring this with you. I want to fondle it!    :)

Sorry Bill, she had taken her place on the ceiling:

I have a step ladder (not my real ladder) so you can still have a fondle when you come over :D

Being a dedicated civil aircraft guy I don't usually comment on military builds but since the Nimrod is a reworked Comet I thought I'd pop in for a look. My jaw is well and truly dropped - that is one stunning piece of work. Fabulous doesn't begin to describe it.

Four months??? :hmmm: I couldn't have produced a model as good as that in four years.

Well done sir. Have a round of applause :clap2:

Thanks Bill :) I'm obviously really pleased that you're happy with the job I've managed to do; much appreciated.

I have to admit I'm pleased with her on the ceiling.

Awesome mate , you beat her, fair and square...

Great to see her in RFI.

A worthy addition to your collection adorning your ceiling.

Simon.

Cheers Simon :)

:rofl2: Thanks Bill - you'll get the chance when we return to Bath prior to the FAA Museum trip. If the mountain won't come to Muhammad…

That looks brilliant especially in that scheme. You need a Herc to go with that now.

Steve.

Uh… not another monster! That said I wouldn't mind  a Herc :)

That's very nice Ced (I've also learnt how to deal with the large aircraft kits in my stash).

Thanks Simon :) Stick 'em on the ceiling?
