RyanBK897 Posted March 24, 2019 Share Posted March 24, 2019 Hello everyone Not sure what forum to put it under, but I'm interested in a model kit (1/144 Buran) but its only available as I can tell on ebay from a seller in Russia, so if I buy it and get it shipped to the UK will I need to pay import duties etc? colin Posted March 24, 2019 Share Posted March 24, 2019 You won't pay import duties as I doubt the kit will be that expensive. You will though pay vat and the royal mail charge to collect the vat, for HMRC, if they put on the postage details the kit is over the £15 limit, this would be the kit plus postage cost in total 1 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Steve Noble Posted March 25, 2019 Share Posted March 25, 2019 No import duties would be applicable, but as already stated above you may get vat and a Royal Mail fee added, but then not always, it can be hit and miss.
