Albion AM463

G'day people,

I was hoping for some pics of the engine for this beastie (or a related variant e.g. ambulance ) as the instructions simply state the engine should be painted black all over.

This may be correct but it seems a little simplistic, even if the majority will be hidden from view and I would like to add a few more details if possible. My preliminary research indicates that the refueller was fitted with either the 4.42ltre EN213 or the 3.89Litre EN217 if that helps,

cheers,

Pappy

Well the Albion AM463 3-point refueller (in addition to sharing the chasisis with the ambo) was a piece of  aircraft ground servicing equipment used by the RAF during WWII. so in that respect I believe it to be relevant to this forum, but I also posted the same message in the miitary vehicles forum to cast a wider net so to speak.

Pappy I had a look on the tinterweb and there are various answers. Olive drab, eau-de -nil, grey and even blue! So it seems that you pays yer money and takes yer chance. Saw a model with it painted silver. Good luck mate.
