John_W
I love the way you use that giant pen to make it look smaller than it is.
longshanks
As always thank you for the kind comments and likes Might not look a lot but a big step forward from my point of view.Bottom boards, thwarts, mast clamps and knees fitted and I've started work on an Admiralty anchor for possible inclusion on dio Thanks again for the support, I hope you like the above Kev Edited May 20, 2019 by longshanks
JohnWS
Nice detailing Kev. Out of interest, how did you make the mast clamps? John

Courageous
Good work on ye olde boat, if it wasn't for the tweezers, I'd thought that it was a larger model. Stuart

Tube of the right diameter, side nearest the bench painted to match. The brackets are just plastic card.rod. Straps are self adhesive label. Terry1954
I don't know how I ever missed this thread Kev, but somehow I did. Have just spent some time catching up from the start whilst devouring my porridge. What can I say other than superb modelling all around, starting with the small building and all its accoutrements, and now that boat. It's all an amazing work of art that doesn't leave out any detail. Really top notch stuff! Terry
longshanks
Thanks for the comments and likes Hull now painted and weathered plus legs added I've tried to make it look used. I don't think there would be much underwater growth. The discolouration below the waterline I did with a pin wash of various colours. Note I've stopped it short of the top of the anti fouling, I don't imagine there were many times she was fully loaded. Hope you like it . . . JohnWS
WOW! It's hard to believe from the size, the large amount of imagination & work that have gone into this build. Well done Kev!
Courageous
With an appropriate backdrop, that would be a picture postcard. Stuart
longshanks
Calling the Crabber finished inside and out Oars, boathook, thole pins rudder and tiller. Mizzen plus outrigger and mizzen sail (used to steady the boat when fishing. If anyone noticed that the centre thwart was missing the knees, this was so that it was removable when fishing to give more space. Thanks for looking Kev

stevehnz
Absolutely mind blowing Kev, your attention to detail (missing knees!) is truly top shelf, this is a super wee dio, the more remarkable for its tiny size indeed, Steve. 2

Looking most excellent, you feel as though you can just climb and go for a spin...except for the over-sized pen. Stuart
