Ham Hands
Hello. Is anyone aware of resin wheels for this model. The H.B. kit comes with rubber tyres. Many thanks.
exdraken
No aftermarket a part from decals for either AMX for now I fear!

One reason I decided to build it is because it seems like a lovely dog in the pound that nobody wants. I have not found many builds online. Exdraken, have you seen that Fly is releasing a 1/32 J-29? I am very excited.

I have one partially built and just need to carry one just taken from hannants: Dream Model cockpit PE https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/CDM48016 SAC landing gear, fo rKinetic and one for Hobbyboss: https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SAC48334 https://www.hannants.co.uk/product/SAC48305 Edited March 22, 2019 by exdraken

More detailed is not my current need/requirement. Although in some way the hobbyboss kit looks better detailed. I have to work out how to properly weather the rubber wheels. I have never faced that. The hobby boss kit has a forward slats and various air brakes open that I don't really like. In the photos I have seen everything seems to be closed. However it looks good so I'm going to leave everything open just for the fun of it. I just want to weather it. 🤣
niki
I have also steered clear from getting an AMX because of the rubber tires in the Hobby Boss kit and because of the over engineering [for my taste] in the Kinetic kit... That is until last week when I checked my archive and found that the original dimensions of the tires* used by the AMX are pretty close to those of the late Blocks F-16s. Long story short: I got a good deal on an Hobby Boss AMX kit and decided to spend less than 5€ for an 1/48 Eduard Brassin 648007 F-16 Late Wheels. Real life comparison of the HB rubber and Eduard resin wheels shows an almost perfect match. So, if you don't mind the superior number of "holes" in the F-16 main wheel cap compared to the AMX's [12 vs. 8]... Cheers, Niki
