Andy Robbins
I’m working on the Zvezda MSTA howitzer, but I’m having great trouble with the tracks. They are link and length, and the teeth are moulded on shapes strips that set the angles. I’ve been trying every way you can find to get them on, and there is no way I can get them to fit. They either match the wheels and are too short, or they fit lengthwise, and then you have the wrong ends (male to male, as it were), and they won’t match the wheels. If they were Indy link, I’d make the visible bits fit, and hide any modelling sins under the side skirts. Being link and length, and given the design of the tracks, you can’t do this. None of the reviews I’ve seen mention a problem, so I’m asking if a) anyone here has struggled, and b) did you find a solution that doesn’t mean spending 18 quid on a Trumpeter T 80 workable set?
