Thanks very much guys.

Makes it all worthwhile, hearing such positive feedback.

It took quite a lot of will power, to resist rusting it further, and I've even stripped a lot back.

I normally rely on rust and weathering to reduce the "model" like look.

Great to hear it looks convincing with so little makeup.

Sometimes, the less is more. 👍

Fantastic build. Oh if only I had more room. I have two of these kits. I used to have four until Christmas. But the fact is I don't have the display room they need. However, this show just what can be done with them. Well done.

Thanks Greg,

Know what you mean.

My 1:72 Type VIIC lives on the mantle piece and has been generally accepted by the missus.

This one is still on the kitchen table after two weeks. I simply don't have another display surface long enough for it.

Only today, I agreed to slide it behind the sofa, out of the way, while I find somewhere.🙁

I'm hoping to do a couple of 1:350 German ships next so that should cheer her up. Most are less than 2ft long!

Thanks very much for the comments guys.

I sometimes look at it wondering if I've weathered it at all.

Guess I've gone a little "weathering blind" or, I just don't know when to stop.😆

I'm glad of your reassurance that it looks about right.

Cheers,

Andy.
