russ c
Howdy all, Managed to get a few shots of my attempt at Trumpeters 1/48 MiG-19 kit between showers and gales Finished as an aircraft of the 925th Fighter Regiment, `Dong Nai`, NVAF, North Vietnam, around 1971 Built almost completely from the box contents Only additions being some seat belts and a brake/power steering line on the nose undercarriage Decals came from L Decals set LDS 48007, `Migs over Vietnam Pt 2` ...... ...and a few from the kit Much easier to build than my last attempt which was the HiPM kit Hope you enjoy, thanks for looking Cheers Russ 49

Thanks FF, its two coats of Humbrol Enamel Chrome 191 over a satin grey undercoat ( probably Humbrol 165, can`t remember exactly ), two coats of Klear/Future and a few odd panels picked out in Matt Varnish to break it up a bit. Glad you like it, Cheers Russ

BerndM
A very nice MiG perfectly presented. You have nailed the used NMF look of These aircraft by much. Is this a good build ? Got the kit in my stash for years.

Thanks Bernd, the kit`s pretty straight forward, the only thing I found were: the ailerons are a bit deeper than the mainplane and fitting the struts/sway braces for the drop tanks was challenging ( unless I drilled the wrong holes ) but nothing horrific.
