ravinmac
Got my hands on the Tamiya 1/32 Mitsubishi A6M2b. Completed it a while ago (mid 2017'ish) , but unfortunately, no space at the time to display it, so it has been in its storage box since. Here are some pics of the finished model.
CMSCHLOM
too beautiful of a kit to sit in a box. why not donate to a museum?

Kitchen Modeller
Very nice - weathering is very nicely done. Do you remember what colour you used for the base?
kapam
Simply beautiful! An object of beauty like that deserves to be on display and not in a box.

MarkSH
Excellent build, weathering and finish, I particularly like the fact that you have retained the sheen of thinly applied paint on metal and not 'matted' too much, very nice.
Unfinished project
If that’s what you put into storage here’s to what you have on display. Absolutely stunning build 👍👍
ravinmac
@Kitchen Modeller Here is a picture just prior to the first coat of the final colour. The base was Tamiya's enamel fine white surface primer (87044), which I decanted. I tend not to spray directly from tins, unless I was doing a mural on a railway wall . On top of that was a very light dusting of the Tamiya LP-33 Grey Green. Then sanded down after a day drying with a 6000 grit emery cloth. The insignia was then masked over and the final light coats of LP-33 applied.
Pete in Lincs
Gorgeous. One to be very proud of. Shame about the display restrictions. I've never previously noticed the large span of the ailerons relative to the wing span. Compared to, say, a Spitfire, they look huge. Thanks for posting Pete
