Not the MERS, but have used some of the Eduard weaponry in the past. Picked up a Kormoran set for my Marine F-104 a couple years back. Nice stuff. It’s a shame you can’t buy patience at the model shop, as I have none. Thanks for the heads up and advise, I stand a chance of not ruining this with your guidance. Each one now separated into their own “hangar” and will be worked on individually moving forward. 304 and 314 are not far away, 301 will be the pride of the formation and I will take my team with Philippi’s machine. If i work hard hopefully can get a bit of pace during the week and clear the bench of these 3 in time for the Blitz build, Sharkmouth, D-Day and Lockheed GBs and push through with my first ever 1/48 build which has taken up space and time. 2 Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Perils of scale modelling, I nearly lost an eye, a nose and a portion of my cheek! Think it’s a sign to leave the MER racks on the deck about to be loaded for the mission. On another note I had exhausted all attempts to find a Q conversion kit so here is my first attempt at VOR Radar rings. Bit thick maybe but I liked the black rubbery look. Not sure I will bother with the last 2 what do you guys think? What else could I use? It definitely takes some time using a knife, which is why I usually prefer a saw blade if I can make it work. I'm still a hack when it comes to resin (I've only done a cockpit, couple sets of seats, and the Kormoran), but that is what has worked for me in the past. Not very refined but more accurate for the Q version than in the kit. Still not sure about my crude scratch building but from a display distance I’m quite pleased. They're almost as this as a razor blade, CMK I think also do a version. haha I break those scalpel blades all the time like that, both that size and the bigger #26's, I'm pretty brutal on them. Usually for trying to cut something with them I shouldn't....and occasionally I stab myself with them. Gotta keep the blood offerings up the the God of Modelling!!
