trickyrich
welcome along Werner and a great choice with all that lovely resin as well!!!! You're just teasing me now, I so do want an MiG-25 in the collection, I already have a pair of MiG-31's. She's a big beast and will look mighty impressive when do, so will be follow this build with added interest. Good luck with her, hopefully the conversion and build will be trouble free, look forward to seeing her in the gallery.

Col.
Ooh nice! Great subject choice and some nice goodies being added for the full meal deal Good of Revell to provide plenty storage space in the box for those extras.
exdraken
resurrected from the depth of this GB only yesterday had a chance to actually start the BM Beast this is the already heavily reduces set of sprues... I also found my used set of Begemot MiG-25 decals.. knew it would turn up finally.... now I have 2 of them not fully the same color, I suspect a different print edition... (e.g. the white is white on the newer ones, the Libyan roundel green is lighter now, and some other smaller differences.....) whatever.... cleaned a lot of parts, in order to check fit and later paint the metallic bay areas..... I already forgot how big it is... compared to the Saeta and MiG-15... the Cold War Studio nose is very nice, some clean up necessary on the inner joint area (or change/ remove the alignment area on the plastic parts...) the best way is probably a bit of both in order to not lose the alignment the boxy design always astonishes me... no here you have a photo again I also purchased the replacement stabs with the missing arrestor hook obviously found on most later -25s..: the parts are nice, with a bit more detail than the kit part, so you get a pair of them ( the port one with the hook) next stop, cockpit PE updates for the BM! cheers, Thanks for comments, Werner

trickyrich
Curse you Weiner!!!! I have the AMK MiG-31B/BS in the stash and this build will just make me want to build that or get a 1/48th MiG-25!!! (though I have got permission from SWMBO to buy more models....bless her ) I'm really looking forward to seeing this build progress, so no faffing around lets see some building!!! Do I take it that this model is a re-box of the ICM model? revell shouldn't had have re-boxed their Do-215B-5......what a horror that one is! (I know I'm building it!!).
BerndM
A major project with a sharp looking end result. The MiG 25/31 kits are on my wishlist so it will be interesting how this bird goes together.
mirageiv
Excellent choice Werner, the coolest Mig-25 variant imho! At least you won't have to think about adding nose weight with that lump! Will this be in the camo scheme? David

I better start building then... no? of course it is the ICM model.... better boxing then the original RBT because of some updated parts , no matter though for my conversion build! it was just on sale and there for the cheapest conversion base I could get hold off PE for the cockpit, those are more general improvement items thrown in, not related specifically to the BM I guess! the IP is BM specific though: need to do some drilling in order to align them better..... gosh this mega zoom on the screen! in turqoise interior green: and finally some steel/ titanium bay pics: more glue in action soon! 15 hours ago, mirageiv said: Excellent choice Werner, the coolest Mig-25 variant imho! David camo? probably not.... the only BM in camo was afaik never operational, just a test plane after ~ retirement probably will do an RBF in camo one day..... cheers, Werner Edited April 4, 2019 by exdraken
Valkyrie
Hotting up nicely. The turquoise colour is great, which one is that?
trickyrich
there's no way that colour is calming or easy on the eyes!!! Nice job though, I can easily see myself owning a MiG-25 model by the time this build is over! 1

Selfmade mix..... a bit light turquoise, some blue, some emerald green... Revell colors landing gear bay and intake build sequence: builds up nicely, easier the second time! cheers, Werner 4
trickyrich
the gear bays look great! The intakes look good to, though even at this scale you could probably loose small animals in them.....maybe even tiny children! .....I have already started looking up the price of the ICM MiG-25RBF on evilBay!! Dam you!!!

Valkyrie
Nice cockpit Werner very nice indeed! Does skill 5 on these Revell kits mean it’s quite a difficult build?
Hewy
The zoom is cruel to us all werner, it is looking great so far, the cockpit is really starting to take shape

Does skill 5 on these Revell kits mean it’s quite a difficult build? 5 is the highest, indeed. It is big, has rel. high parts count and is expensive.... The basic kit is not difficult at all.... But then Revell sells a lot as toys to children... so difficult is relative I guess! Edited April 6, 2019 by exdraken
trickyrich
....and some of us children can't help ourselves and buy them!!! Gotta buy my 1/32nd Skyraider first!
exdraken
today was engine day.... not much actually: kit parts vs Metallic detail wonder why you get 4 exhaust tubes... when 3 are the same and one is a different design.., - quality control issues? find the superfluous one basic paint work also started
