Putty Animal
Hehe thanks chaps! The coin is about 50c/50p size. The kit was made mostly out of the box, although I did prime the surface and sand it back a couple of times to reduce the panel lines. That's always the hardest part of 1/144 scale modelling for me, but also the thing that pays off the most. The wing fences are etched brass from Ed's upgrade set, and the pitot tube and guns are from Masters. The Migs of that period had a coat of aluminium paint over them much like RAF aircraft, which got me off the hook as far as NMF goes (phew!). Shading was done with watercolours and a bit of Pergamano white lead pencil.
