John R
I have just acquired the Maintrack vacform of this a/c. The suggested colour scheme is highly speculative, as Maintrack admits. As the kit is from 1992 has the actual colour scheme come to light since then and what is it? John

Sky dancer
This really is a can of worms. I think there are still no definitive answers, and the people who know the answers don't really want to talk about it...... There have been a couple of discussions about this subject both here and on ARC (and I think Hyperscale too):- http://www.arcforums.com/forums/air/index.php?/topic/266368-lockheed-have-blue-xst/ The previous thread here appears to be suffering from the photobucket effect:- https://www.britmodeller.com/forums/index.php?/topic/235004890-172-have-blue-xst-pegasus/ Don Color had done graphics for about 3 or 4 different colour variations of the camo scheme Have Blue-01 wore, but the site appears to have gone. The book "F-117 Nighthawk Stealth Fighter Photo Scrapbook" by Yancy C. Mailes and Tony R. Landis is an absolute "must have" for the XST or F-117. Tony Landis stated that for its first flight HB-01 was overall black, and Ben Rich confirmed this in his book "Skunk Works". It also wore an overall Air-Superiority Blue colour scheme, a la early F-15A, and more interestly a colour scheme in which the different faceted panels were painted in different shades of grey. There are small diagrams of these schemes in the photo scrap book, but no colour call-outs. Its final scheme was overall grey. Have Blue-02 appears to have been overall grey for all its service. Just found links to the old Don Color drawings and their call-outs for FS:- https://photobucket.com/gallery/user/anthsco/media/cGF0aDpEb24gQ29sb3IgUmVmdWdlZXMvaGF2ZWJsdWUxX3pwc2thMmxydWhpLmpwZw==/?ref=1 https://photobucket.com/gallery/user/anthsco/media/cGF0aDpEb24gQ29sb3IgUmVmdWdlZXMvaGF2ZWJsdWUxYV96cHNpam9hejB0Zy5qcGc=/?ref=1 https://photobucket.com/gallery/user/anthsco/media/cGF0aDpEb24gQ29sb3IgUmVmdWdlZXMvaGF2ZWJsdWVfenBzZ2oyaDRoenguanBn/?ref=1 Edited March 9, 2019 by Sky dancer Additional links!
John R
Thank you for all that comprehensive information. I'm sorry to say that given my advancing years, lack of manual dexterity and lack of patience there is no way that I could manage any of the multi-colour versions. Hopefully it will be of some use to someone else. For me it looks as if it's any colour as long as it's black or grey. John

Could you please photograph the vacform sheet and possibly the packaging? I've been fiddling with my Pegasus 1/72 Have Blue for many years, and I've always been curious about the execution of the Maintrack kit. But AFAIK, not a single photograph of the vacform sheet can be found on the internet! Can you please fill this void?
