X Wing Flyboy
Hi folks, been four years since my last post so here goes with one I finished last year. This is the 1:72 Matchbox Brewster Buffalo bought for a few pound from eBay and sat on the shelf of doom for a few years until I made a concerted effort last year to finish unfinished projects. A fun and basic wee build, it fit together well enough with a little filler here and there. Painted in my own made up colour scheme as I decided to have some fun with it in the end. The original kit decals were not in the best of shape but by jove they went on magnificently with setter and softer. opus999
I wasn't much of a Buffalo fan, but this is terrific looking. I bet it was fun to put together!
X Wing Flyboy
Hi man, yes it was a great little kit to be honest, had fun with it. I have the 1:48 Tamiya in the stash to have a go at at some point.
Josh G
I remember building this when I was 12; yours is better
invidia
Great looking model, built this in the late 70s I think.
Sabrejet
We went through a phase of being rather critical of Matchbox kits but it's funny how many we see nowadays built up into lovely little models. Great job!
Greg Law
The Tamiya 1/48 is worth building. Easy kit and has quite a presence for such a small model.
Mig88
Very nicely done! The kit doesn't look its age! One of my first builds was the Airfix Buffalo. I no longer have it but I have another in my stash to give it another go someday! Miguel

Ham Hands
Great job! I always find it interesting the much-maligned Buffalo has the highest kill to loss ratio in WWII with Finland. I have the 1/32 Special Hobby and Tamiya 1/48 kits. I look forward to nearly completing both.
David Womby
I love seeing classic kits built well like this. Lovely job and great wear and weathering David
GrzeM
Very good job on this model. I remeber this old Matchbox! It was lovely.
sapperastro
Looks great. I wish there were still 1/72 Buffalos on the market these days. They are as rare as hens teeth around here. I love the old Tamiya kit, but it almost seems like the only game in town at the moment.

goggsy
That’s a great little model, really takes me back. I’m trying to remember, did the matchbox kit include the windows in the floor of the cockpit or not?
