corsaircorp
Hello Dears, Now, after my Hurricane mess up, I'm very cautious with Italeri paint schemes... So I'm doing two Avengers, The Monogram one will be 8-T-1 in Midway, case closed But the second will bear FAA colours... Now I have a 846th Sqdn Avenger in TSS I also have the Xtra decal sheet "Yanks with roundels" with a 853rd Sqdn Avenger BUT She's presented with a white underside on a side of the sheet and with a Sky underside on the other side... So what's the right choice ?? White or Sky ?? Just another proof of the sailor's humor... surely photoshoped but It would have been pretty funny for the 2 lads on the Land…. Hope that I did'nt disturb too much !! Sincerely. CC
tonyot
White undersides with a Black anti glare section and the rest is TSS,....... using British style EDSG/DSG,....not US equivalent colours. I hope thee pics help; Good luck mate, Tony 7

I will go for this one !! 😛 And I will think about the blister instead of the porthole 🤔 And also the Bronze green color for the pilot and observer stations.🤔 Then some of them seem well weatherized !! Love it !! And great thanks for the fb answer !! Sincerely. CC

72modeler
CC, What scale are you going to do your Tarpon? If the kit of choice doesn't have the clear blister observation window, I have some ideas on how you could do them. Let me know. Good luck- they sure do look pretty in FAA colors and markings! Denford
Very interesting pictures. To what scale and from which manufacturer: ditto for the little resin-coloured objects on the cabin floor?
bigbadbadge
Hi CC Re the FAA machine, have you got any details for the observer position in the cockpit, I have the Hobbyboss Avenger and this area is not present at all, so will be interested in any info or pics also. I have bookmarked the links and will study when I start the build one day! Thanks in advance. All the best Chris
85sqn
You’ll have to build it yourself. I added a seat, control column, rudder pedals, some instruments and other bits and pieces for my Hobbyboss avenger: sorry I don’t think there’s much in the way of photos but there is a link in here to another very useful thread I started when I first came to building my FAA Avenger.
