(ex)Sgtrafman
Hi everyone I'd like to show you my 1/48 Airfix Hawker Hurricane Mk1. Pinterest.com The model still needs some shoulder harnesses plus it needs a rear view mirror, these will be added in due course. The Airfix kit builds up into a pleasing representation of the classic RAF fighter and it will look good in my cabinet. Any comments are always welcome. Cheers Iain

IanC
Good looking Hurricane. That kit builds up nicely, for sure. Did you forget to paint the exhausts? Looks like they could do with a bit of metallic buffing..

tonyot
Very nice indeed,...... I did the same scheme myself a few years ago and also did the research for the Xtradecal sheet,...so it is nice to see it being put to good use! I did give the exhausts a slight metallic buffing but as you've pointed out you cant really see the effect in the pictures, when I add the shloulder harness I'll have another go at it 👍 10 hours ago, russ c said: Great looking Hurricane and very cool scheme Thank you 5 hours ago, tonyot said: Very nice indeed,...... OutcastJoel
That is a gorgeous model! I hope to build one of the same aircraft next year for the Battle of Britain group build (albeit undecided on scale yet). Did you use decals for the squadron marking on the tail flash? if so what company were they from?

I sprayed the tail colours and used the Xtradecal set 48146 for the squadron marking. I hope that answers your question. Iain
