British Eagle 1-11 and BEA 'red square' Viscounts for me.

Tommo.

The Viscount 700 will look equally smart in an ETPS Raspberry Ripple scheme, now if it could be followed by a BAC 1-11 475 as well (please)

No V700 wore Raspberry Ripple but two RAE V800s did.

1/72 HS748 please - better and cheaper than the S&M version!🤨

The Welsh 1/72 Classic Airliner range sells for between £75 and £125, I imagine it'll be towards the middle of that band, with caveat I don't know what affect the new resin fuselages will have on price.

I'd go for the BAC 1-11, to remind me of the hairiest Dan Dare flight ever.... a recently retired Bomber Command pilot getting upset with a Caledonian Tristar beating him to finals at Lagos in Portugal. A Double S and then landing the wrong way on the runway!

How easy / difficult would it be to build an Andover from the 748? Just a new tail in the main?

C.1 potentially lots of work : Awhole new rear end of the fuselage to incorporate the cargo doors, different window config, move the engine nacelles further outboard different main gear, among other things.

CC2 finish to your desired RAF scheme.

Hi Tommo,

I’m wanting to build Cosford’s E3A, so I have a lot of work ahead. I didn’t know about the change to the main gear and engines so i’ll have to look into that.

S&M do an Andover, as did RugRat. They are both resin.

So they do :) I always thought that the S&M kit was 1/144 - looks like not.
