Whirly
The title says it all: gloss paint FS 14087 as used on early UH-1B or OV-1B for example. Anybody has an out of the pot suggestion, easily available in Europe? thanks a lot Fabio

Whirly
Thank you for the suggestions, though it is not so easy as adding gloss to 34087 😟 The real colour is distinctly darker and greener than the more common matt version, hence my question. 72modeler
You could try these for FS 14087: Mike AK 134 Tamiya XF-49 Mr. Color H-081 Modelmaster acrylic 4708
Doom3r
Comparing photos of Glossy OD Hueys from "Huey Gunships Walk Around" with the colors that I used on some other models previously it looks like Tamiya XF-58 without anything or maybe with small drop of either Dark Yellow (XF-80) or Khaki (XF-49) or even Khaki Drab (XF-51) without anything might do the trick. To get a gloss finish you can ether add X22 straight to the mix or put a final layer of gloss. Plus, you can always say that the "paint is slightly different to account for the scale" as well as if you weather the model the way Army Huyes were weathered in a nice climate of Nam then even huge color discrepancies would be acceptable. Whirly
Seems the Tamiya greens could the best candidates. Unfortunately I can't use weathering as an excuse as I want to do an helicopter in near pristine condition, probably this subject or a straight trooper:
