Humbrol & RAL: A Question

I'm aware of those, but I also have a cross-reference chart showing Humbrol matches to certain RAL numbers, and I'm wondering if these were matches to a discontinued range of RAL paints, much as Humbrol provided matches from their standard range to the discontinued Authentics.

Did Humbrol ever produce a range of paints matched to RAL colors? I find many cross-reference lists but no official documentation.

Sorry for being a bit late to the party.

Humbrol (or Plasty Germany) did offer a range of RAL-colors around 1986. The range documented in the "Farbarchiv" included

1002 1004 1007 1014 1015 1021 1028 1032

2000 2004 2005

3000 3004 3024 3027

4007

5001 5002 5011 5012 5013 5014 5020 5022

6003 6007 6012 6014 6020 6029 6031

7001 7006 7012 7021 7022 7023 7030 7032 7033 7035 7037 7039

8012 8027

9005 9006 9010 9021

Later when publishing "The Colour System" they claimed in the Railways chapter

133 = Rotbraun (8012)

And I have "undocumented" tins

Humbrol "plain" tin labeled "195 Chrome Green RAL 6020" (matching Authentic "HR 148 6020 Chromoxyd-grun")

Authentic RAL 6014-F9

Authentic RAL 6031-F9

Authentic RAL 8027-F9

Authentic RAL 9021-F9

Authentic RAL 9011

Some of the cross-reference lists one may find online are a bit "generous" with their matches. Humbrol 19 is "not really" RAL 3000 and Humbrol 2 does not match RAL 6029 at all.
