Monty Python Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 Just got the new Airfix 1/48 Hawker Hunter and have a query regarding part C37 in the cockpit. This looks as though it's the parachute brake release handle which the standard F.6 would not have been fitted with. Is this correct? TIA Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
StephenMG Posted February 24, 2019 Share Posted February 24, 2019 (edited) I haven't got my instructions to hand at the moment but if the part you're referring to looks like a shovel handle (sorry, that's the best way I can think of to describe it!) then it's the emergency hood release handle. You'll need it for anything other than a very early Hunter F.1 and it should have the handle end painted in diagonal black/yellow stripes.
